Write a review: good, bad or indifferent. It can be of anything you’ve experienced, recently or in the past. There’s always a movie, TV program, dance concert, music concert, a play, a meal out, or a novel you recently finished you can tell us about.

Hmmm. A review?

My initial thought for this post was of my most recent negative customer service experience. Alas, we always remember the negative.

But then I thought of a good review that I wanted to do, too. So I’ll get the bad out of the way and end on a good note. : D

Shitty Customer Service Sucks

Sam and I were having issues getting the service to switch over to the new phone. A forum online said I had to update the IMEI number on my account. I decided to wait until the next morning so I could go to the store and talk to an actual person.

Bad move apparently.

The chick was so apathetic. I felt like she was going to roll her eyes at me when I walked up to the desk. That was after waiting roughly 10 minutes while she finished ‘helping’ the couple who had been ahead of me. Not that the wait was all that long, but she knew I was there. It wasn’t like I was ruining her day or anything by showing up last minute or something.

She wouldn’t let me explain what I wanted to do with the phone at first, so she kept giving me the wrong advice and interrupting me.

When I was finally able to get the story out she informed me that to change the number in store I would be charged $15, while calling customer service was free.

WTF? *mind is blown*

You’re both using the same program, or at least have access to the same information. How is it possible to charge for this service in person, but not over the phone?

I waited a handful of seconds, but it was apartment she wasn’t going to say anything else. I had to actually ask her for the number to call to get my phone fixed. Wouldn’t you want to make sure the customer has all of the information they need if you aren’t going to fix the problem? Guess not? K…

If I hadn’t had my notebook with me I doubt she would have given me anything to write with. Seriously, she was that level of rude.

The person I talked to on the phone was super nice though, and I got everything straightened out. I’m glad that I don’t have to go to the store to pay my bill or anything along those lines. I would most likely go to a different store because I was so put off by that experience.

Spotify Is Awesome

I absolutely love music. I almost always have something playing. Even if I don’t have music on, I have music inside of my head.I tend to bob to the music or mouth along with it if there are lyrics. Even while I’m running (read dying…).

For a while I had a Pandora account, which is basically like the radio, only it’s online and you can have your ‘radio stations’ with you as long as you have internet access.

Well, move aside Pandora. Spotify is taking over.

Where Pandora is like a radio, Spotify is like a CD collection. You have access to thousands of artists. Whole discographies. You can pick which songs on the CDs you like and add them to your own personal collection. You can create your own playlists and share them with friends, or share individual songs that you find.

You can find  artists related to the style of music you are listening to. Spotify also has this ‘Discover’ mode, where it will recommend new artists based on your listening trends.

Spotify also has the ‘radio’ feature which is all of Pandora. Only when you like a song on the ‘radio’ Spotify keeps track of it, so you never have to worry about never being able to find that one awesome song again because you didn’t write the name down.

That may have happened to me… a lot…

It’s an amazing program / app, and I highly recommend it. : D

  1. You kids and your new-fangled applications. Spotify you say? I will have to take a look.

I hate shitty customer service. Hate. It. I won’t stand for it. I will ask for the manager instantly and I will write a crummy review and then tell all two of my followers that Verizon sucks. Oops.

    • XD

I’m not a huge fan of Verizon either. Mostly because they want to charge me $70, when I get the same thing at Metro Piece of Crap for $40.

And now for peer pressure. : D

Everyone else is using Spotify. You know you want to… >.>
