Yesterday was pretty productive. Once I went on break I real quick had my dinner of tuna and crackers, topped it off with a yogurt. I went upstairs and over to the offices to get the IP addresses for the printers. I wanted to at least have screen shots of the errors that I keep getting when I try to connect to them to show IT.
Once I had done that I ran over to the 711 for their 2 for $3 Gatorade deal since I didn’t have anything to drink.
After all of that I still had time to spare, so I went about trying to set up the prints. I actually got one of them working by switching some of the options. So I can once again print stuff out. Huzzah!
I was so happy when I got it working. I felt pretty accomplished. Getting set up with a printer has been on the to-do list for a while now, and it is finally off. Sort of done since I wasn’t able to get both of them working, but that’s fine. I can fiddle with the other one later.
A few of my student loans were coming due, the ones under my mom’s name. They were supposed to automatically go into forbearance, but didn’t. I also submitted my paper work to Sallie Mai again. I thought I had done that before, but that loan is also coming due soon. So all of that has been taken care of. Currently I am waiting to hear back about it, which will be about 7 business days.
Another giant frog off of my to do list.
I completed my discussion assignment and got that posted. And all of the grading got done. Two massive check marks on the list, done.
After that I got to make flash cards for all of my Principles of Design terms, which really helped solidify them for me. I don’t know what it is about taking pencil / pen to paper, but that always makes things so much more real for me. Not even typing can really substitute the act physically writing something.
With the cards done and put away I started stitching a little bit while listening to music. Mr. Hand-Holdy from the last lab was being pretty frustrating with his questions, so I didn’t want to try to listen to my Art History chapter, or any sort of Lynda.com training, so music it was.
I had a hard time sleeping when I got home. I was up until around 4am and then woke up around 8:30. I stayed in bed and got a few more hours of sleep, but yeah. It was a little frustrating.
It might be because I haven’t gotten to the gym or worked out in a few days. I still haven’t done it this morning. I really need to get more consistent with it.
Today I feel pretty low energy, most likely from not sleeping much. I want to do at least something though. I really think that if I went to a spin class or something that I would feel better / more energetic. It’s always a hurtle getting back into the swing of things but once you are there it’s easy to keep going.
I know I will feel better after working out. Just need to take the first step to actually do it.
Currently I’m in lab about to start the day with SAL. Not really a whole lot planned for these next four hours. I might do the Lynda.com training that I’ve been looking at since my Digital Literacy class. Only stuff from a month and a half ago… Thinking about it that way makes me feel like a slacker.
I want to get through at least chapter 13 tonight, hopefully chapter 14 as well.
I only have two more episodes of Thundercats, which would be nice to finish off so I can transfer all of those files over to my external. Once Thundercats is complete I think I’m going to do Game of Thrones since I haven’t had a chance to watch the most recent season.
So yeah… over all a pretty slow day, but with how much I got taken off of my mental plate yesterday, and with the things I plan of trying to get done today, I think I’m ok with it.
Slow but steady. I good with that right now.
