I am currently taking classes for a Digital Art and Design degree.
Though most of my work will be done through the computer, having traditional art skills is a huge benefit.
The class I am currently taking, Design and Art Theory, doesn’t go too in-depth on art techniques, but they do encourage gestural and blind contour drawing as a way to strength our understanding of traditional art.
Because I have already completed a Computer Animation degree, I have a bit more experience in the art realm than most of my fellow classmates. I’m by no means the best, but I have already been exposed to most of the concepts being covered at the moment.
I’m really looking forward to progressing into Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign. : )
